Monument Valley

This dreamly-like indie game has a brilliant design. As the player you lead the heroine Princess Ida through mazes of architectural optical illusions inspired by Japanese prints. Every scene is a display in itself. On their website they even feature a short behind the scenes, which we of course love here at Craft.

Thatgamecompany is known for beautiful and esoteric work. Their title ‘Journey’ isn’t an exception, with its rich interactive environment and gorgeous style. Journey’s story is told wordlessly through gameplay and using cutscenes in a low color contrast, overcast lighting and a yellow-hued universe.

Narita Boy

“The retro futuristic pixel game”, is Studio Koba’s self proclaimed title for this visual pearl. It’s been successfully funded on Kickstarter and the team is working on getting the game into the hands of 80s enthusiasts.

Hand-drawn art, epic boss battles, and great immersion. What’s not to love. This dark universe features gorgeous animation in dynamic encounters against hordes of enemies.

Unravel is a unique game featuring Yarny, a tiny character made from a thread of yarn that slowly unravels as he explores a lush landscape. Moving the character through these breathtaking and atmospheric landscapes is a joy, and you’re continuously surprised by the detail-level of every leaf, rock and stream of water.
