Your devblog got 15 seconds to grab attention

By Emil Villumsen | Co-founder of Craft

“Chartbeat CEO Tony Haile looked at 2 billion online interactions, most of them from online articles and news site, and found that 55 percent of the time people spend less than 15 seconds on a page. This means they’re not reading the news articles”

So don’t assume that people who enter your blog reads the articles. Instead track attention span and get an idea of whether or not your development blog is on track.

“Most people who come to an article scroll through 60 percent of it”

Take aways

  • Put your most important information before the 60 percent point.
  • Track time spent on page in addition to views
